Islington Conservatives need you to vote for Boris Johnson as Mayoral candidate on 1st May, and then the Conservatives and Alexander Ellis for the GLA.
This year, Islington's Conservatives have been out and about spreading the message on the door steps, and with leaflets about Boris and Alexander, a winning team for London North East. At the last GLA election, the Conservatives were only 0.6% behind the LibDem candidate - this time we can really do it. Currently Boris is polling ahead of Ken Livingstone , but we need all voters interested in a change for the better in London to vote for Boris tomorrow. If you can help in the reminder of the campaign please contact us. Thursdays elections really matter! For more on Boris Johnson please visit Backboris.com |

Yesterday David Cameron, Leader of the Conservative Party, visited the Bemerton Housing Estate in Islington.
David Cameron wites: To really tackle poverty, you've got to deal with the causes – like not getting on at school, having problems with debt and issues caused by family breakdown. The people I met at a housing estate in Islington were experts at how you really help people get a hold of their lives. I WAS pleased to see MP Jeremy Corbyn voting with the Conservatives on the Tory motion to halt the post office closures. If just a few more Labour MPs, such as Emily Thornberry, had voted with the Conservatives we could have stopped the closures nationally.
It baffles me. Our elected representative is continuing to campaign against closures but, given a chance to halt them, she votes with the government on its closure programme.
It is just a shame we have to wait up to two years until the next general election to have a representative who will put Islington’s needs first.
