The Conservatives are forever gaining new members and supporters in Islington. Our candidates both at parliamentary and council level make their presence felt throughout the two constituencies by campaigning on issues that affect all residents. In the 2010 general election we fielded a full slate of council candidates. We offer scrutiny over the actions of the Liberal Democrats and the Labour party on the council, diversity and transparency.
Islington Conservative Federation also campaigns around the country in target seats helping Parliamentary Candidates in marginal seats and the Prime Minister David Cameron.
Aside from campaigning the Federation runs lively social events for members and supporters so that they can socialise with fellow Conservatives and meet prominent figures from within the party who come to address us.
Our Conservative Future branch (under 30s) is very active in organising fun socials and campaigning events for a younger audience. We have close ties with the North-East London Area CF organisation which runs events for young Conservatives from all over London.
So if you are interested in finding out more or getting involved don’t hesitate to contact us.
