I can't imagine being homeless, cold and hungry any time of the year, let alone in lockdown when people don't have as much money or food to give. The homeless problem in London is so big and it's sad to see so many people begging on the tube and on the streets. There are some amazing charities doing great work out there, and we the Islington Conservative Federation thought we'd do our bit to help out too.
Over the winter months, and possibly longer, we want to open up a soup kitchen for the homeless and hungry, with a variety of different soups and bread as well as hot and cold drinks. All the money you kindly donate will go towards food, drink, equipment and the space.
